Answered How to make Space Function always active?

Hi everyone,

I have this robotic cell with a M-10iD robot that I would like to have some way of monitoring whether it's within a certain location of the cell. I was thinking of using a space function as these allows have a DO turned on whenever the robot is inside the zone.

However, the space check seems to require a digital input to be activated in order to allow the robot in the zone. Since I always want the robot to have access, I would like to bypass this requirement. Is there any way that this could be done?

    Hi Serge,

    Yes, you can achieve this by modifying a system variable.

    1. Navigate to MENU > NEXT > SYSTEM > Variables.
    2. Locate $RSPACE1 and double-click to view the available space checks.
    3. Select the desired space check and find the $NO_USE_DI variable.
    4. Set $NO_USE_DI to TRUE.

    This will allow the space check to function without requiring an activation input.
