Why does my FANUC AC spindle drive coasts to a stop? does it have any deceleration issue or power problem? there are no active alarms.

Hello ,
Followings can be main reason to cause your spindle driver to stop.
- Contamination and Heat are the biggest killer of spindle motor , drives and their cables.
- Oil , Grease , Coolant mixing together and end up in slug making the spindle to rotate freely.
- Cables also catches up the moisture and damage can be happen.
- Cooling fan on top of spindle always tries to pull up oil , grease and coolant up to the top to make the spindle , when fan gets clogged up , Spindle will be over heated and leads to expensive repairs.
Keeping the neat and clean environment , is only key to keep your machine running properly.
