Answered The probing issue of the FANUC 16M

Salutations all members.

I am new here,

I am working on the FANUC having robo-drill alpha T10C. I am unfamiliar with the working process of the robot and making its programs. I have never used this system before today and now I am not able to manage it properly and get it working in proper manner, so I am here to seek help...

I have been cleaning mess out of the system and polishing its parts. The FANUC 16M controller is having probing problem I guess and I don't have any idea how to re-program the probe and make the system working again. However, I have figured out that drip feed to this FANUC controller is an issue of probing. 

I would like to do simple things with the probe like edge finding and Z height...

There are programs in the systems related to the probe but I cannot seem to figure them out.

If any of you could help with it would be highly appreciated.

    Hi Dear Frankie Ellis!

    I am glad that you put up a question on fairly old FANUC system but the newer systems are having good length, rest of the working of newer and your systems is almost same. I will guide you through few steps to proceed you to your problem resolution. 

    1. First of all you need to go to the website www.renishaw.com and get the user manual of the system for inspection. Keep in mind download the older version of user manual as newer version might be changed to some extent.
    2. Start reading and when you see the programs # 8890 9724 9833, it will be helping you. Check out the comments for the copyrights of the system and it must match to your system.
    3. Get a battery of 9 Volts and replace the battery with the older one. Next is to run macro 9832 for turning on the probe and holding it tight in the hand, however you have to let the receiver see it, deflecting the stylus and watching there is no skipping.
    4. Now try to have calibration of the probes for which you would require the ring gauge and master tool box. In my personal opinion ring gauge is better for installation and not much will go wrong with the probe in case of any mistake.
    5. The older version of the software is requiring to run the calibration process several time until it is install properly.

    Thank you so much for your response mr. Mohammad.

    I have been checking the website link you given for the manuals, but it is really not easy to navigate through the site and i am not able to find the manual.

    I have tried the way you mentioned in detail, but i am not able to direct the right program and problem is still persisting. May be it seems like i am missing program 8890 and macro 9832.

    Oh I have miss-typed it before. It is 8898. I think you are not have it in older version to install it but I believe you will not be shown any of the 8000 series. However, the 9832 probe is on it through and I am not aware of how are you not having it, may be because of the 9023 or changing the tool macro.

    There are few programs with 9100 and 9101 but are not genuine. Therefore, you are now required to change the PWE and also change the parameter 3202.4 (NE9) which will enable you to view it. However, be very careful and don't try to delete anything. 3202.0 for 8000 series. What probe do you have? There is no MP12 I was thinking MP9 but here are links to some documents that you must read.
