Can anyone give me suggestions regarding TP memory of the FANUC?

Hi all!

I am currently working on the FANUC 30iA. The robot is actually out of memory i.e. TP memory. I have been checking that this FANUC robot is already having a 3m SRAM. Therefore, I believe there is no option of making addition of memory for now. 

The programming of the robot is very complicated and I have set up to an efficient level. For your information this robot can work 24/7 and has numerous programs in it. A few of its programs are running on week basis while others are running on monthly basis. I came up with Temporary solution is that I am going to leave a few programs over its micro-controller card. 

The problem is if one of these programs come up on the off shifts the parts get skipped until support arrives. 

Does anyone know of a way for the Robot to automatically look at the MC card and run a program from it?

Any solutions would be helpful.

    Hi Howard!
    I hope you are doing fine. I have read it somewhere that there is a way for reallocating the memory which is being dedicated to the PERM and TPP in FANUC robots. You may have an idea if you are in to a lot of spare PERM memory which might be reallocated for enhanced dedicated TPP. But, it looks like the option R709 is what you need. In my opinion you are required to read TP programs directly from the DRAM or you can have an external memory card instead. However, I have never used an external memory card to be honest. There is a description of it in the section 5-5 of the handling tool manual as well
