Answered Calculating length of cable for robots arm

Hi all!
I am a little confused in calculating the length of torch cable for thru robotic arms. Can anyone help me out?

    You have to keep following points in mind.

    1. Determining the length of cable, you have to make it sure that you are leaving enough length so that minimum bend radius of the cable is not exceeded.
    2. For dynamic applications the minimum bend radius is about 10 to 14 multiply with diameter of the cable.
    3. Make it sure that you have left enough length so that no strain is applied on the connectors of the cable in its full range.
    4. Securing cable is also important. Remember that ties can be problematic sometimes. Don't over tighten the cables.
