Hi all,
One of the parts which i am having needed to have several touches, but it happen sometimes that it don't detect it, which results in collision or alarm. I believe i have heard that it is possible to change the sensory voltage which is applied at sensing for making it easy to detect the part when it is not even clean.
Does any of you has an idea? Can i have different voltage for the torch-mate and some other for sensing part?

The answer to your question is that if the touching the sensing voltage is generated in the welder, then you are required to ask it from the makers of the robot. Now, most likely, the makers are not doing it because of various safety concerns. Now, if the voltage is going to be independent of the circuitry then you will be able to modify it as long as the device is comfortable within the range. One of the other alternatives is the laser touch sensing and you can ask the FANUC about it.

You can use iRvision (2D and 3D Vision System) for improved cycle time and quality. First the reference image of the weld pattern is stored in the memory by calibrating it on a ideal part . Then when a new part comes camera takes a picture before an arc is established and the robot matches the image between reference image and new image. It automatically adjust the offset and weld path accordingly.
