THE FANUC WE Series issue

Hi folks,

I am curious whether any of you have ever used the 210 Water Environment robots for the higher pressurized washers? I have used such and now need some suggestions if any of you might help me with it.

I have been working on various of the 210WE robots deprived of having any of the protective boots in the washer chambers. I have been using approved detergents only such as (SP735) under 55 degrees Celsius of temperature with no high pressure spray over the surface of robot . I think that everything has been followed as prescribed by FANUC requirements, but still i am suffering with having a yellow paint over the arm of my robot. However, I am lucky enough to have no other issues with it.

This is because the feedback of FANUC which we got after contacting them in respect to get any preservative temperature range of controlling inside the chamber. If anyone of you are having an idea why the paint of robot is peeling off then please guide me with respective measures to be taken,

    Hi frankie,

    I think i have observed this in various of the applications such as food handling robots, die cast spray, and washing robots etc. However,  one of the most common reasons is the alkalinity of the solvent is way too high. The paint peeling might not be a concern but the cables of the robot should have good life else the robot's life will drastically change.

    Hey Howard,

    I am using a proper allowed concentration of the detergent which must be harmless for the paint of robot, however, I am not a chemical professional but a FANUC expert, therefore I am not having an idea of the alkalinity etc. and chemical processes involved in peeling off of paint. I am going to try finding some tools for its analysis. The report of FANUCs test is stating that detergent is safe for both robot and its wiring and is safe for paint as well.

    Hello Frankie,

    To me it seems like there is some problem with the casing of robot which is oxidized and losing its surface's grip with paint.
