Fanuc CR-7ia/L Robot with Cognex IS3800 Camera triggering over Ethernet

Dear Friends,

I want to take some pictures with a Cognex camera connected to the end arm of the Fanuc CR-7ia robot.  I realized that Fanuc Robot has an R-30iB controller with Ethernet-Adapter capabilities but not an Ethernet scanner.

Is it possible to trigger this Cognex camera over an Ethernet Adapter? if yes then how?

How should I do the IO mapping, fanuc vs Cognex?

    Hi,

    If you have the Adapter, the only thing you can do is read the I/O in the robot with a scanner. If you can have the Cognex in scanner mode, you can read the trig I/O in the robot. Otherwise, you need the scanner option in the robot to do that task.
