Hi........
i am interested to know about an issue that i am facing about real data transferring from the AB compact Logic PLC to that of FANUC robot for registration of instruction with help of an Ethernet IP. The PLC is AB compact Logix 5370 L2 with an integrated port of an ETHERNET. My controller of FANUC is R30iA and I am handling it with Handling tool of version 7.7 and Ethernet IP.
I am having a question of how to make configurations of the robot through RS logix 5000 I/O configurations. Do I need to create a novel module for the use of generic ethernet module because my FANUC robot is not in any of catalog lists. Moreover, the generic Ethernet Module if selected as a common format for the real data transfer is to be set up through assembly instance and the size of its parameter must have an input output along with configuration data. In the MSG block, it must have a message typed as the CIP generic and its service type must be using the corresponding parameters like attribute, instance, and class etc.
I will appreciate any help if anyone knows this.
Thanks a lot.
