Answered RS232 PORT Error

On GE FANUC series 150 M I am Trying to communicate with machine using RS232 PORT and getting errors.

    Hi there!

    RS232 PORT is very susceptible to electrical surges, you would be getting alarm 86 on your screen. This alarm indicates the RS232 Port error.
    Troubleshoot the problem step by step. Set your machine up to read a file. Machine now begin to flash read, if it never receives your file you either have a break in your cable or a defective COM Port on either the memory board or the master board. Common fail item is the cable use a good cable while communicating.
    90% of the time it's the cable which is faulty.

    Yes it was the faulty Cable Thanks sarwat..
    and Losev it was alarm-086 and it was a communication problem
