Hi There!
When using wire mesh fencing is there a requirement to purchase software: FANUC DCS that would prevent the robot from sticking a welding nozzle through the openings in wire mesh fencing? It seems to me that you could have the robot stick the welding nozzle or wire through the mesh openings. Obviously we wouldn't intend anyone to program the robot that way but I am not sure if purchasing the DCS software is a requirement?

The DCS function comes under the Robot Accessories section. You need to spend additional amount for it.

According to Robotic industries association , America. Safety is utmost priority above all. I agree that no programmer would program the robot in such a way that is harmful for people , For such accident shall not happen even rarely and reducing the robotic accidents to zero percentage. It is recommended.
