Answered Unable to connect to an online running GE fanuc LM90-30

Hi Everyone,

I am using GE Fanuc LM90-30 and I am uploading PLC program from an online-running GE Fanuc LM90-30 series with the CPU 363. The PLC program running online uses proficy machine edition and I have Installed Proficy Machine Edition in my PC, done it on a CPU363.

But I cannot connect to PLC and message showed saying Timeout error. All connections are fine too. RUN LED was on as seen on the online running processor.

I have tried creating a new project, and selected the right type LM90-30 but the online connection still not working having a communication error. With the offline CPU363, I can connect and see the PLC with RUN LED. Need some Help Here, thank you

    Hi Masako,

    CPU363 has two serial ports that are configurable through software and a third on the power supply. Serial Ports may have been changed by the programmer. The function of the key switch is also configurable. It can be configured as Run/Stop, Write Protect, or disabled.
    There are LEDs on the CPU module that indicate traffic on the ports. If LED is blinking that means that communication error is occurring that is due to an issue with the cable or port settings.

    As you said, Managed to connect using the serial port on the power supply. Connection was successful and program also uploaded.
