Answered cable of Kfloppy for FANUC RJ2 controller

Dear all, 

I need information about making a cable connection among controller and my laptop. I am having RJ2 series controller and I am in need to make its backup and other essentials.

Can someone please guide me whether following program would work or not? In my opinion it should work but I am not very sure about it. Here is what I have.

ROBOT PC having 25 pin male connector 9 pin female connector.

7 <---< 5

    Hi coleman,

    Your logic seems to be perfect. Same logic worked for my both RJ and RJ2 controllers.

    Hello ,

    You can make your own connector. So based on your logic if you want to verify the connection take a multimeter and check continuity on existing connector. 

     

     

    Just  make a connection with pen and paper . Draw one side 25 connection and on the other side 9 connection.

    Next , Take your multimeter  and set it on continuity mode. When you  hear a beep sound , draw a connection line between two pins. So basically you will get something like this chart. 

     

     

     

    And based on diagram make your own cable. Just check how many cores of wire you will be needed.
