Reader for Bar Code

Hi all,

I am having my ARC MATE 120iC with 30iB controller.

I am trying to use a bar code scanner which for the connection of robot's controller for capturing of data.

RS-232 protocol is used for the purpose. KAREL program is used for the capturing of data.

However, there is a problem that the program is constantly running even if there is nothing read by scanner. I am interested to add a feature that in case if scanner is not reading any code then program should abort.

Help me with this issue
