I have tried searching the forum, I am sure you guys can guide me here. I am looking for brief introduction of HOT START and its complete procedure. Actually i am working for recovery in case of power loss. I want to use hot start with switch set to remote, is it possible? Does Hot Start requires cycle start set to Local?

In case of Power lost Hot start has ability to restores I/O, teach pendant display and the programs. In theory, if power loss occurs, you can simply press the start button and there you can resume from where the power was lost. It works opposite to a cold start. Cold start resets the teach pendant displays and also aborts the robot.
The second part of your question. Yes you can use Hot start while switch set too remote and No hot start does not require cycle start set to local. You can use Hot Start with your cycle start set to Remote.
