Testing your robot for Purge leaks include following:

1. While the purge air is flowing, inspect the robot for leakage around all joints, seals and gaskets. No excessive air must be felt except at the purge outlet. Apply a leak detection fluid, such as Nupro Snoop, to areas under inspection; check for bubbling.

       2. Also You should pay close attention to:

• Covers - Make sure each bolt is snug.
• Check for leaks around bolts and from cover, gasket, or surface damage.
• Seals - Check each joint for leaks.
• Internal seals might be damaged or missing and internal mating surfaces, which also act as seals, might be worn or damaged.
• Cable Penetration (Rox for CE and TIIS only)
• Ensure that there is a tight seal around the cables.

Wanted to ask one more thing, which Hardware do i need to perform purge cycle testing? 

You will need following equipment to perform the remedy procedure.

1. Air compressor / any air supplying source which is capable for supplying air approx  1000-1200 lpm.

2. Pressure gauge

3. 2 Nos. Air fitting , 1/8 or 1/4 NPT

4. Nylon tubing measuring 1/4 dia. , 24 inch length

5. Leakage detect liquid

Dear Ernesto,

Here is the necessary Hardware to perform purge cycle test:

• Air source capable of supplying a minimum of 1100 slpm.
• One pressure gauge to read 0-5 inches of water (Dwyer #2005 or equivalent)
• Two air fittings, 1/8-inch NPT to 1/4 inch tubing (Parker #68C4-2 or equivalent)
• One nylon tube measuring 1/4 inch in diameter by 24 inches long (Parker #NN-4-035 or equivalent)
• Leak detector liquid (Nupro Snoop or equivalent)

There are various methods through which you can check Air Leakage. Some of the widely adopted methods are as follows.
1.Bubble Test/Submersion Test.
2. Ultrasonic Measurement
3. Pressure Decay Testing
4. Vacuum Decay Testing
5. Helium Sniff Testing
6. Helium Spray Testing
7. Helium Accumulation Testing
8. Nitrogen Purge Testing
9. Hard Vacuum Testing
