Communication btw robot & plc

Hello guys,

How to create communication between Fanuc and a Schneider PLC through Ethernet? The configuration of my scanner PLC in unity Pro is okay. I need to know how to configure the robot as adapt so that the PLC can read and write?

    Dear Bailey,

    You would have EDS file when you import it into Unity Pro you will have access to 4 input words and 4 output words from the robot. This just means 16 bits of data. So 4 input words 64 bits. You can read about the bits in the manual as well.For turning on the connection you will go to the menu Ethernet I/O input the bits. You can then do the configuration of Separate I/O menu, the ones you need, using Rack89 for Ethernet IP and start point is the bit 1-64. Also i would recommend to check the robot manual.

    Hello , 

    Communication between robot and plc can be done with Ethernet Connection. You need to configure TCP/IP on both robot and PLC . After having a successful connection. You can assign I/O connection at rack 89 at slot 1. Refer Manual for more information.
