Answered Collision Guard Setup

Hello All , 

Greetings for this day. !

We have a robot which is used on automobile parts R2000ic-165 with R30ib . I have concern about collision. There have been many cases in past about crash. I agree that EOAT are really costly. I read on fanuc website about collision detect . It just stops the robot whenever collision happens. I would like to know , To attain this function , Is it required to have any external hardware or software to be purchase from fanuc ?

    You do not need any external hardware to use this function. You need following PAC 

     

    Once this option is acquired , Follow as below for setup for enable this function.

    4>>

     

     

    You can define COL DETECT OFF instruction in particular part of program where it is not necessary. 

    Basically there are two limitation 

    1. When robot brakes are on , You can not use it.

    2. When softfloat function is enable , Collision detection is off.
