New postYou can connect any external device to Peripheral I/O. Peripheral I/O can be used to send and receive data to and from remote control i.e. PLC or any peripheral equipment.
With this settings you can call your program , start program , stop program or any other other purpose , if certain operation i.e. any external signal is high or low from any external device source.
DI - Digital Input , DO - Digital Output
GI - Group Input , GO - Group Output
AI - Analog Input , AO - Analog Output
UI - User Input , UO - User Output
SI - System Input , SO - System Output
RI - Robot Input , RO - Robot Output
These all can be hard wired with Rack , Slot , Physical Number configuration on Robot.
You can also connect PLC , Devicenet with Master and Slave configuration.
You get more idea about these configuration you can refer , Operator Manual & Maintenance Manual .
I am also posting few videos which will give you more idea about DI / DO input and how any external devices are connected to the robot.

Really great explanation. I found the DI / DO very to be very useful and easy configuration. I referred this forum for Rack configuration also. Soon I am planning to attempt first configuration.
Thank you friend for this explanation.
Have a great day to you. !
