Answered VFD connection with Robot

Hello , 

In general spindle has four pin connection. Which can be connected to VFD with below connection method and VFD can be connected to power supply.

Now with VFD you can control the speed the spindle with selection method on vfd touch panel or round knob. So when you want to increase speed just use switches or knob that will be a good method to adopt. As it will be totally controlled by the VFD signal and the speed variation will be guaranteed.   As in another method you will need to attach external selection method. In which VFD will receive input in form of analogue signal of 0v - 10v. If system is sending 0v speed will be zero and if system is sending 10v , the speed will be maximum. You can adjust speed in between will voltage selection method. 

After completing the electrical connection Power Source ---> VFD --> Spindle 

To maintain the speed from robot , Setup AI and AO  I/O connection. - Rack , Slot , Channel

On teach pendant - Go to Menu --> I/O --> Analog --> Configure

On Robot Controller refer Controller maintenance manual for Analogue Port location. 

This content posted here is really helpful. From this post i was able to find the other content that i could not understood. I did also take help of other sources. It was difficult for me first time. But i successfully done.
