FANUC LR MATE 200iD 7L Digital I/O

Hello everyone,
I'm currently working with an LR-30iB Mate Plus controller and facing an issue while trying to control an external solenoid valve.
I connected the solenoid to the CRM15 connector, specifically to the DO101 to DO108 outputs.
While I am able to set the outputs to "True" from the teach pendant, the signal does not actually reach the solenoid valve, and it remains inactive. We were able to receive signals from the plc to the digital inputs so I'm not completely sure if it is the output mapping.

If anyone has experience with this configuration or can suggest possible causes for this behavior, your insights would be highly appreciated!

    Hi Santiago,

     

    It sounds like your outputs are turning ON in the teach pendant but the solenoid valve isn't responding. An issue that I feel is related to wiring. Here is a schematic of the CRMA15 connector:


     

    In your case, since you're using outputs DO101 to DO108, make sure that pin DOSRC1 is connected to a 24V power supply. This pin provides the necessary voltage for the outputs to actually send power to the solenoid.

     

    If DOSRC1 is not connected, the outputs can show as “True” in the teach pendant, but no actual voltage will reach the solenoid — so it stays off.

     

    What to check:

    • Locate DOSRC1 (the common voltage pin for those outputs).

    • Connect DOSRC1 to 24V (same voltage your solenoid uses).

    • Make sure the solenoid also has a return path to 0V (ground).

     

    Once that’s done, your outputs should start working as expected.

    Thank you Gabriel, 

    This is how it was wired from CRMA 58 to CRMA 15 besides the outputs:  pin 17-0V 18-0V 50-24F. I would assume that we would have to remove the pin 50-24F and wired to the pin 31 which is DOSRC1. 

    I am not sure about pin 29, 30 and 32 since those are 0V and another DOSRC1.

    Hi Santiago,

     

    If you're working with the CRMA 58 connector, you should still connect the DOSRC1 line to a 24F pin (for example, pin 31 to pin 49).

    Pins 29 and 30 are 0V and can be used to connect the negative terminal of the solenoid.

    You only need to supply 24F to one of the DOSRC1 pins.

    Hello gabriel,
    So, If I understood correctly. I could wire pin 31 to 49, and that pin 49 would be supplied by 24V. And I could use pin 17 and 18 as 0V.
    Would be the same for CRMA 16, where I would have to wire to 0v and DOSRC2.
