A few weeks ago, we received a GoFa robot with an OmniCore controller. We were previously used to working with the IRC5 controller, and unfortunately, many of our existing procedures no longer seem to apply to this new setup.
We have a camera and a laser connected to an Ethernet hub, which is plugged into the X4 port of the controller. However, we are unable to detect these devices from the robot. In RobotStudio, the option to add a device in the I/O System (as we did with IRC5) no longer appears to be available or perhaps it has been moved.
Does anyone know how to perform the Ethernet/IP device mapping on the OmniCore? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Frank,
The OmniCore controller utilizes the new I/O engineering tool. Information on the tool can be found in the RobotStudio help page:

Wow, thank you for the quick response Aaron! It seems much easier with this module. My camera is set to IP 192.168.0.20, do I still need to add it under IP Settings and/or Industrial Network, or is everything handled by the Engineering I/O?

Hi Frank,
Other than the Initial network I/P and firewall settings, everything should be able to be done in the I/O engineering tool.

For information on configuring the Ethernet I/P scanner you can reference the Ethernet I/P scanner, adapter application manual. You can find it online:
