SYST-322 Auto status check time out

The collaboratives robots from Fanuc need to do this auto status check every 90 sec when the robot is moving continually. If you want the robot to continue running without having to start it manually every 90 sec, you need to wait for the time variable to drop at 0 each cycle. Simply add this line in your program:

Do you know how to add that wait. I'm pretty new to robots and we received a Fanuc CRX and it will auto status check time out a lot and lock up.

To avoid the "SYST-322 Auto Status Check Time Out" alarm on your CRX robot, you can increase the "Auto Status Check Time Limit"

To do so, open the legacy teach pendant via the bottom right button. You will then want to navigate to the DCS parameters: MENU, 0 - NEXT, 6 - SYSTEM, TYPE, 7 - DCS. From there, scroll down to the Auto Status Check section and enable Flex time limit. On the "time limit input" line, select "R" as the variable type and enter the numeric register your will be using to enter your custom time value (Ex: 499).

Once this is done, you will have to use the "PREV" button to go back and apply DCS parameters. Once they have been applied, you will have to restart the robot controller. Once the robot has rebooted, you will be able to go enter a custom value in the numeric register selected earlier (10000s being the max value, you can enter this value to make sure you don't encounter the alarm again).

Would you know any way to keep the safety features but make the robot less sensitive to movement when welding like doing the inside of a box all 4 sides in 1 pass? The CRX seems to do fine but payload is definitely an issue.

To lower the overall sensitivity of you robot, you can go into the DCS parameters again and scroll down to External Force Limit / Disabling Input. You should have Limit 1 setup to X number of newtons. You can increase that value if you were to want to make your robot less sensitive.

However it is very important that you respect the ISO 15066 standard. It dictates the force and pressure thresholds that can be applied depending on the potential risks of injury that are found on your application. Not following these instructions could leave you with a cobot that has high potential of hurting someone.
