So I need some info.  A person at our headquarters said that the FANUC trainers that trained them told them they could not replace a servo motor without using a special setup/tool.  all the servos have the pulse encoder and from what I remember you can replace the motor, just have to remaster. They said if you remove the motor and move the joint (we have to do this because of a no power situation to put them in transport position), you cannot do anything unless you call them.  This sounds very fishy to me and the manual does not say anything about this either. 
The trainers told them is was something about a mechanical mastering that they could not do without FANUC.

Sounds real fishy to me. Especially when the manual shows how to replace motors, joints and the like.  Just need the single axis mastering.
