Answered FANUC hangs up...

Hi,

My R30iA mate for the 100iC is suddenly hanging up while working.....and it is not working properly. None of the key in teach pendant is not working after powering up and the system doesn't come up and stay in first page "waiting for starting". When I am turning OFF the system after 10 minutes system come up but when robot jogging system is hanging again.

I have tried to change it forcefully but CPU card with other one and the system is not working properly. Therefore my question is that what is happening with CPU card of my FANUC or any other problem is occurring?

This problem which I am facing is depending on the power deviation or not ?

I am need for real help if anyone may help me.

    Hello I would recommend you to contact FANUC.

    However, as per my knowledge, there are patches for both TP and controller of FANUC which are depending on the current software version which you are using or both of the facts. Back when I was new to FANUCS, I had a similar situation when TP was hanging at certain point and I upgraded its firmware software for the resolution of the problem and the issue was resolved. Therefore, you may also try for updating the firmware software.

    Hello Howard!
    I have a unique and weird idea for you to resolve your problem and that is whether or not you tried removing teach pendant?

    Before, I was having few issues similar to what you are facing when I was using R30iA. The software of teach pendant was having problems sometimes and i wonder if you try it and see what will happen. Moreover, you also go for FANUC support as well.

    Hey Howard!


    There are several ways through which you can resolve your problem. First method is that you should reload the saved backup to your controller. This will help you for sure.

    Moreover, to me it also looks like that your software is corrupt and is not operating well. Otherwise, you must be able to control the reload and start of the robot and would not hang. As per my experience, i have went through a big crash while controlling R30iA. I do not think that this problem may be related to TP of the robot but software is buggy for sure.
