Hi,
I want to send data from my PLC to robot. I have my fuji PLC having an Ethernet module and my controller R30iA has an IP/Ethernet module.
Can someone please tell me best possible way to transfer the data among both devices?

New postHi,
I will be happy to answer you. Can you please tell me whether or not your PLC has ability to communicate with ETHERNET IP such as AB does. There must be some communication in PLC with that allowing a general CIP messaging over CIP to send messages over IP/Ethernet.
You might be aware of this, but with mere having an Ethernet Jack over PLC is not illustrating that it would talk with IP/Ethernet through any protocol. Thank You
Dear Ishaq, thank you for response.
I have no information about AB but solution to this problem is important to me. Can you please share information with me regarding the type of ability the AB PLC is capable of? Is it a special software or something else.
Hi Laurence!
You can use FL-NET OPCN-2 (the generic term for a network featuring FA link protocol) interface module. The FA link protocol is intended for the FL-net to be used for data exchange between various control modules in manufacture systems such as programmable controller, robot controller (RC) and numerical control module (NC), and personal computers for
control. FL-NET OPCN-2 allows interconnection with PC, CNC and ROBOT beyond the frame of a single manufacturer. The Communication physical layer employs Ethernet.
Thanks.
Dear Laurance, I have used the micrologix 1100 PLC before and it was with great success. It was having an Ethernet/IP protocol which was built for the programming of the software. I think the PLC was not cheap but its been a while, but i think you need to purchase the Ethernet/IP option for the robot so that it will talk that language.
