Answered Fanuc Cable Extension

Hi All , 

I am looking for a solution of cable management and a long extension cable for fanuc. As i have a huge fence area and sometimes during programming , I find it difficult to reach to the particular area to see the clearance of robot arms with work-piece. Also if i have long cable , i will need something reel type machine , which may have a spring structure which automatically reel back the cable. Like mechanism in measuring tape.

    Hello ,

    You can get long cable in after market products. I am suggesting you one of website. Please find attached photograph. As you have not mentioned the model no. you can ask this company directly. 

     

     

    Even , If you want to DIY your cable , You can make it as well. Just you need to have both side connector and wiring diagram. You can make a pin connection chart by checking the pin to pin connection with multimeter. Accordingly you can decide how many cords of wire will be required and can solder as per pin connection. 

    Yes , As you will have long cable you will need proper cable management , It may get tangled , Eventually due to wear and tear it will be damaged. I came across one of this company who design such mechanism..

    Thanks for suggestion. I got it in cheaper rate from my local vendor. On website it was costly.
