Answered Hanging S420

Dear all,

I am working on an old version of FANUC robot S420 having an RJ Controller which can move in the mode of manual joint but the problem is that it is hanging when any program is selected and run on it.

I have talked to the maintenance team of FANUC and they have suggested that an IC in its axis controller has burnt out. I have changed it already and since then the hanging problem has persisted. The ID of IC is TDG2107P.

Any help will be of great pleasure and it would bring comfort to me. Thank You

    Dear Laurence,

    To me it sounds like your robot is most probably not calibrated and is not moving in world.

    Can you please tell me whether any error is associated to in auto or not?

    Dear Juan,

    Basically, zeroing is performed after repairing the board.

    The robot is now able to move in the joint and Cartesian as well but it is hanging while selecting the program to be moved in autonomous mode.

    The problem has been resolved. 

    I have reinstalled the robot's backup from my system and it is working fine now.
