Answered i-Pendant & Roboguide Connection

Hi all , 

We have recently started training room in our factory and we want to make learning more smooth for new fresh employee. What want to do is to connect i-pedant with the computer system and teach them to program I have watched few videos on internet , but no method is mentioned. Can anyone guide me with any documentation or some instructions ? Which parts i will need in order to connect the i-pendant to the computer system. ?

    Below is the procedure to connect R30iB iPendant to ROBOGUIDE

     

    You will need following things. 

     

    1.  Roboguide Version 8 or above

    2.  Part no.  -  EE-6686-076-001 R30iB iPendant 1.5m PC Kit else Part No.  -  EE-6686-076-002 R30iB iPendant 3m PC Kit , Power supply and cable ass. 

    Here is example of cable. Check for adapter specification. 

     

     


    3. 10/100 Ethernet switch (optional)

    Connecting the iPendant:

    1. Make sure the power switch is off.
    2. Connect the ROBOGUIDE cable to the circular iPendant connecter.
    3. Plug iPendant cable into an AC power outlet.
    4. Connect Ethernet connector (RJ45) to Ethernet switch or PC.
    5. If using an Ethernet switch, connect PC to the switch.

    Connecting the iPendant:


    1. Start your ROBOGUIDE work cell.
    2. Open the Tools menu.
    3. Select the Options menu.
    4. In the Options property page, make sure the Teach tab is selected.
    5. Check the checkbox for "Use the physical iPendant".
    6. Press OK at the bottom Options property page.
    7. Restart your work cell.

    iPendant Wizard 

    1. Turn On iPendant 

    2. Press shift + i button until wizard shows up.

    5>> Setup IP address 

     

     

    6>> if DHCP selected , Select virtual address for DHCP 

     

     

    7>> Done

    You can contact your own Fanuc local supplier. Go to the website of Fanuc and you will find a distributor from there: https://www.fanuc.com/

    You will be able to pick Asia on the map and find a distributor.
